Description
Rosslyn Chapel, Midlothian, Scotland. A historic Collegiate Church of the Sinclair family dating from 1446. It is quite unique and intriguing because of the many ornate carvings inside depicting biblical stories, though many have been interpreted as being pagan or Masonic in nature, there is no evidence for that. It is believed by some to contain the Holy Grail buried in the crypt, a notion popularised by the novel The DaVinci Code, by Dan Brown and by a film of the book, which was filmed at the chapel.
